m&r

the best kind of photo shoots are reunion kinds! megan and I studied in london together and it was so fun to reunite in the city! we actually first ran into each other in trader joes months ago, in this city you get in the habit of feeling somewhat anonymous. so many strangers everywhere all the time that running into someone you know unexpectedly is such a treat. well anyways this time we made a plan to run into each other and it was such a delight!

mr. & mrs.

I was honored to capture these two newly weds on their honeymoon from London in Central Park a few weeks ago. In between shoots we chatted about our mutual love of London and NYC. It was one of those experiences that leaves you excited. I was so glad to meet this fantastically happy couple and share in their celebration.
congrats you two!

{harrison family : SLC}

it has been really great as the years go by to be able to shoot the same families again. it's amazing to see how much we all have grown since this. I had such a great time capturing the harrsion family while in UT this summer.
that face, kills me.
tender.
until next time utah!

{smith family: the pool}

on a perfectly humid summer day I met up with the smith's for some portraits up at the pool. we did our best to distract ourselves from the muggy air with central park's beautiful scenery. I've been anxious to take some pictures at the pool so I was thrilled with the smith's agreed the spot would be just right. this cute trio was visiting from their home in hong kong, so the picturesque greenery made for a wonderful setting.
checking out the ducks and turtles
such a sweet happy baby

j & j : madison square park

before the garret's made their trek over to the west side of the states they requested some photos in their favorite part of the city. we started in madison square park and wandering down to union square. I walked a fine line of excitement over capturing a couple I enjoy so much and sadness to know they were leaving us too soon {its hard to see dear friends go} but we still had a great time.
adore this one
how about jess's killer eyes
bon voyage
so long garret's. we'll miss you!

{caballero family: hudson river park}

one thing I love about this job is getting to know my clients and of course making new and wonderful friends, but it's especially good when a client finds my work through a fellow loved blogger (usually sweet nat). we often have an instant connection in our mutual love of that hip girl. so last month I met this sweet family in their neighborhood to take pictures in honor of a certain someone's big first birthday!
 and without further ado meet the caballero family.
{one of my favorite shots of the day}
the end!

"I wanted it to be you. I wanted it to be you so badly."

"What will NY152 say today, I wonder. I turn on my computer. I wait impatiently as it connects. I go online, and my breath catches in my chest until I hear three little words: You've got mail. I hear nothing. Not even a sound on the streets of New York, just the beating of my own heart. I have mail. From you."
{when natalie and I had the genius idea for a you've got mail inspired shoot, I'm not going to lie, we jumped up and down and squealed with the excitement of it. so we planned and prepped and made some meg magic happen.}
"Mr. 152 insights into my soul."
"Don't cry, Shopgirl. Don't cry."
it's always a joy to capture the holbrook family. they make my job so easy! I mean look at that face!!
up next when harry met sally?

{baby w}

whit was SUCH a good baby & so fun to photograph. he had my heart instantly with the all those dimples and giggles. plus he has super cool parents. at 6 months he was a pretty dang good sitter too. we happened to hit the blossoms up by the reservoir with perfect timing and we got so many great shots my heart was melting trying to narrow down the images to share with you. so get ready for a long one...
I meeeannn... can you even stand it?!?!
adore this one. probably my favorite shot of the day.
being super photogenic is tiring.
this was the highlight of the shoot, he was seriously cracking himself up!
and I leave with this final gem.
you're welcome!

{baby a}

this is baby ava! she has got the best cheeks in the entire universe, not kidding. plus she is a serious ham for the camera. It's so amazing to me how even the littlest of babies truly have their very own personality. it was a delight to capture baby a's blossoming persona.
mmmoooommm!

baby a loves her feet!
 she also loves her made by mommy mobile
and she definitely loves bubbles
oh the rolls

e: at the beach

 e from the ellie life  asked me to shoot some shots for her while I was in California. she's a beauty inside and out and we had such a good (but chilly) time snapping photos on the beach for her blog.

               ellie is the creater of a blog about faith and love. she exudes charity and uses her blog to             reach out in her community, help others, and spread the love.
she's pretty remarkable.
mom &  lil sis (other stars of the ellie life) jumped in for a few shots at the end.
"may you always have a shell in your pocket and sand in your shoes"

{thomas family}

the thing about the thomas family is this:
THEY ARE SO MUCH FUN!
we some some unseasonably warm weather they day we ventured through columbus circle to the park for their shoot, which was oh so lovely. check out what we got.
zoe loved the puppies. she was literally squealing.
Dad's turn for the toss.

{strike family: riverside park}

I was so happy to be able to shoot the strike family while they were on their thanksgiving holiday in the city all the way from CA {home sweet home}!
with a little help from a buzz lightyear action figure we all ended up having a pretty good time in riverside park.
I guess upside-down is a good way to travel.
loved the colors
{dreamy}
to infinity and beyond?!
thanks strike family. I'm there in CA with you in spirit.

b+n & baby h:subway cars

I got together with nat and her boys to take some shoots for the holbrook family christmas cards.
 and of course we had a blast.
{as usual}
huck and all his cuteness. his happy happy cuteness.
sometimes you gotta hold the babe upside-down
kiss kiss
see you next time everybody

c&m: brooklyn bridge

J and I have been friends with these two for years now. J and chris were roommates in their singledom and M and I would come to the city for visits. {the traveling girlfriends} and then we both married our men and set up camp here in new york. what I was trying to say with that long explanation was that it was a delight to have a chance shoot some dear friends.
take a look:
